Marathon M-Series Compactors

The Marathon® high volume transfer station compactor systems can process up to 1749 cubic yards per hour and compact materials directly into transfer trailers. Multiple options are available to suit various applications.

Marathon M-Series Compactors are built tough for the high demands of transfer stations or heavy industrial applications. These compactors can be mounted on a stand to compact directly into the transfer trailer. Extended snouts can also be added to aid in clean breakaways. The RAWHIDE® is a special option that can be applied to the M-Series 1050 and 1475 Compactors. It has a 48″ ram penetration that is especially beneficial for packing out transfer trailers for a clean break-a-way.

  • The BlokPak 3000 is capable of processing up to 90 tons per hour (continuous). It can possibly fit  into existing transfer station facilities or for new construction with minimal site preparation.
  • The BlokPak 3000 can be installed in existing over-the-top transfer station facilities. At these facilities, the compactor is fed with a front-end loader off of a tipping floor. It can also be configured for conveyor feed or direct dump applications.
  • The refuse is fed into the large 100″L x 86″W x 91″ clear top (feed) opening. The packing ram compresses the waste into the compaction chamber against a vertical steel gate. The gate remains closed while the ram is cycling forming a dense log of refuse. When the desired log length has been reached, the vertical gate raises and the ram pushes the log into the transfer trailer.
  • Once the trailer has reached maximum payload, the trailer is replaced with an empty trailer. The ram penetrates into the trailer 60″ (5 ft.). This is assuring a clean break-a-way when the trailer is full. Since the gate is closed, the BlokPak 3000 can continue to cycle and process waste while the trailer is being replaced to ensure quick turnaround times.

Marathon’s Transfer System Compactors can be fitted with a variety of options, such as trailer connection systems, to suit your application. The hydraulic scissor extends to connect to the trailer’s vertical pin latch. The hydraulic grab claws hold the trailer, using their side pockets. Marathon also manufactures EZ-TRAX® Conveyors for an efficient way to feed your transfer system. Load cells can be utilized to keep track of the weight
as the compaction trailer is being loaded to maximize payloads.
